事件·拘留过程
年9月26日，萨勒曼国王发布命令，允许妇女在沙特阿拉伯开车，并于年6月制定并实施新准则。期间，参加妇女驾驶运动的人被要求不得与媒体接触，年5月，Loujainal-Hathloul,Emanal-Nafjan,AishaAl-Mana,Azizaal-YousefandMadehaal-Ajroush等女权人士被拘留。
这项禁令于年6月24日正式取消。

Hathloul,whowasarrestedinMayaspartofacrackdownongovernmentcritics,initiallyagreedtosignadocumentdenyingthetorture,herbrotherWalidal-HathloulwroteonTwitterTuesday.ButwhenSaudisecurityofficialsrequestedshemakethestatementoncamera,sherejectedtheoffer,Walidadded.
“Whenthestatesecurityaskedhertosignthedocumentforthevideorelease,sheimmediatelyrippedthedocument,”Walidwrote.“Shetoldthembyaskingmetosignthisdocumentyouareinvolvedinthecoverupandyou’resimplytrying(to)defendSaudAl-Qahtaniwhowasoverseeingthetorture.”
ActivistshaveaccusedQahtani,aformertopadvisortoCrownPrinceMohammedbinSalman,ofinvolvementinthetorture.
